Every year the high school I have graduated from runs a marathon dance know as SHMD. SHMD is a fund-raising event that helps the local community and individuals. SHMD is the largest high school marathon dance in the country and has raised the most for its cause.
I will be going back as an alumni this year, I’m not sure if I will make the whole 28 hours but we’ll see

The students of South Glens Falls High School will host the 33rd Annual South High Marathon Dance in the South Glens Falls High School Gym on March 5-6 , 2010. Last years dance the students, and the community that supports them, raised $260,020 bringing our grand total, over 32 years, to more than $2.08 million!
